Chiang Mai has a strong and thriving conscious living community with a large number of temples, wellness centres and other activities. In 2018 it was voted the top destination for Digital Nomads in the world, and has over 40,000 documented expats living in the city. Many people come and stay in Chiang Mai seeking guidance and change during critical times in their lives.
We have designed this program based on our own experiences of discovery and change, to help you recharge, and give you new experiences that will help you see things differently and more clearly, to enjoy living and learn to “tune in” to your heart and your real needs in life.
We have worked with clients from all over the world who have suffered from general stress, life crisis, anxiety, depression, trauma and addictions, or have an inner sense of lostness. 1. Pick up from Airport and check - in to your accommodation - if you are not currently in Chiang Mai we will arrange a pick up and transfer for you from the airport to your Chiang Mai condo. We will also give you a short orientation tour of the Nimman area for essentials including groceries, and where to eat healthy and affordably
2. Welcome drink and tour at Chiang Mai Holistic - we will walk with you from your condo to CMH, pick up a juice or shake from the cafe downstairs and show you around the centre
3. Holistic assessment to determine Week 1 Program - we will ask you to complete a short questionnaire and discuss the responses with you to help us determine what services you may need. We will check point with you every week to tailor your program according to your needs and situation. At times we may ask you to try things you haven’t tried before! If these don’t work out we will change them the next month
4. Nutritionist assessment - Our nutritionist will ask you some questions, take your measurements and complete an assessment. They will then design a food plan including hints on where to eat in Chiang Mai. Your plan will be tracked on a weekly basis
5. Health and fitness assessment - Our personal trainer will then complete your fitness assessment and discuss with you your fitness goals and objectives. Depending on 3, 4 & 5 we will then determine the best fitness options for you, such as yoga, functional training, one-on-one, and outdoor activities such as running, cycling and swimming
6. Discuss/set schedule for Week 1 - we will then take you through the schedule for your first week. We will checkpoint each week to see what worked and what didn’t, and make any changes for the next week

When you search for these types of packages online you may expect an escape, travelling down to an island, or other remote location in the mountains where you would be in a bungalow, cave, or some other isolated space. At first we thought about creating our package the same way, but, having been in the wellness industry and corporate environment for many years, our experience showed us that this is not sustainable and is not the best environment to learn in. Chiang Mai balances both - it is a small, green city with a mountain feel and strong spiritual grounding. The centre is located in an urban area but within a short drive to many wonderful natural experiences such as mountain temples, waterfalls and rainforests.
One thing we have found is that people coming to this program are generally from a busy city and used to a fast-paced lifestyle. Learning how to create a new lifestyle in a city environment will make things a lot easier when you go back home. There is no long term benefit being in a secluded place for a month - you build healthy habits that may not be sustainable in a city and may over time lose what you learnt. Being in a small city affords you the opportunity to take all these new skills that you will learn and incorporate it into your daily life.
This is why we call our package the "Urban retreat", being in the city you learn how to become the type of person you want to be in a similar environment to that which you will go to. You will spend your time in the beautiful city of Chiang Mai, located in the northern region of Thailand. Chiang Mai is a fantastic city with lots to offer anyone.
The other big difference between us and other packages you may find is the flexibility and customisation of the program and schedule. We don’t design a one package fits all approach. We personalise your program to suit you and your goals and objectives; no two people are the same. You may choose to focus more on physical activities such as yoga, personal training and fitness, or perhaps you are looking more to feed the mind and spirit with therapy, life coaching and counselling.

Ali has been a sound therapy practitioner for over 6 years. He has studied with different teachers from India, Nepal and Australia to learn how to bring the best healing techniques to his treatments. He has worked with hundreds of clients from all around the world. He mainly uses Tibetan and Crystal bowls to help people find their true inner peace whilst channelling reiki energy as he is also a Reiki Master.
Ali is the co-owner of Chiang Mai Holistic. He is a certified sound therapist, Reiki Master, and meditation teacher. He specializes in working with people who suffer from addictions, traumas, anxiety, depression, stress, overthinking and insomnia.
Gabe is a business and IT professional with extensive experience leading large programs for corporates in Australia and around the world. He came to Chiang Mai over 3 years ago seeking spiritual change and a healthier way to live. Here he found how to follow his heart and feel inner happiness and joy in life.
Gabe is a co-owner of Chiang Mai Holistic. He is a Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher having completed a 200 hour YTT course with Sivananda in Madurai, India, and a Reiki Master. At CMH he works with people suffering from stress, overthinking, overwork and going through periods of life change through energy work, meditation and yoga, including breath work and restorative yoga.
At present Gabe lives in Chiang Mai for half the year and Sydney half the year, where he leads the regulatory reform portfolio for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
Nim is passionate about a holistic approach to wellbeing and balance and has trained in a range of modalities including yoga, reiki and sound healing.
Having worked as a holistic practitioner for Thailand’s largest rehabilitation program, she saw first hand how a holistic approach changes people and helps them finding meaning, purpose and happiness.
Nim is one of the founders of Chiang Mai Holistic. She has been studying yoga for over eight years and completed a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Sivananda Thailand in 2016. She regularly teaches individual and group classes from beginner to advanced levels at Chiang Mai Holistic and other studios, treatment centres and resorts in Chiang Mai, Nim believes as Sivananda says that Yoga is The Way!
In addition to yoga, Nim is a certified Sound Healer levels 1 & 2 and leads sound baths at Chiang Mai Holistic weekly using Tibetan bowls.

Addictions Counseling and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
We have certified addiction therapists to meet with you on a weekly basis, including a trauma and EMDR-certified therapist. EMDR is a tried and tested therapy for people who suffer from the effects of traumatic experiences, addiction, depression, and anxiety.
Our professional life coaches will help you be able to trust yourself more, set more precise goals and learn how to recognize your personal development to be more grateful and aware of your self-improvement journey.
We will create a unique and individually tailored mindfulness meditation practice to help you get in touch with your intrinsic motivators and real purpose for existence. Meditation is not a luxury; it is a necessity. We will help you create a daily disciplined practice.
Hypnotherapy is a complementary and alternative medicine in which the mind is used to help with a variety of problems, such as breaking bad habits or coping with stress, anxiety, fears, phobias and many more.
Included in the package is a weekly private sound healing session. Tibetan and Crystal bowls will be placed on and around you. The sound frequencies produced by the different bowls restore energy in the correct parts of the body, making every cell flow at a healthy rate.
Reiki is a form of alternative medicine called energy healing. Its "universal energy" technique allows us to do just that. Reiki practitioners use palm-healing or hands-on healing to promote emotional or physical therapy.
TRE (Trauma Release Exercise)
TRE is a simple yet innovative series of six simple exercises. Each level helps individuals release stress or tension, which has built up due to busy lifestyles or have occurred as a result of traumatic experiences, allowing you to rejuvenate your body for the day ahead.
Yoga has so many benefits such as fitness, breathing, body flexibility, and being an alternative to static meditation in helping with depression, anxiety and lift your mood. We have many styles and teachers of Yoga available. We will customize a yoga practice that works for you.
When it comes to an individual's health and fitness, each one of us has a different body type, abilities, restrictions, level of fitness, etc. Therefore each one of us requires a fitness program designed specifically for us taking into consideration all these facets.
Qi Gong Is an ancient technique of utilizing holistic and body-posture movements, meditation, and breathing patterns to improve your physiological health. This training will help you cultivate your discipline and determination, and help you develop mindfulness and clarity.
We will introduce you to the authentic Thai Lanna Massage technique, which is world-renowned for its wide range of health benefits. Thai Massage offers a broad spectrum of relaxation that will be experienced across your mind, body and soul.
Membership to CMH’s Group Studio
Included is an unlimited membership where you will get access to all group classes at our centre. Being part of the community is an important part of this package. You will have both private and group lessons made available to you.
Available to you is a personal nutritionist coach. Nutrition is one of the first things we look at when it comes to creating a new holistic lifestyle. If you don't eat and drink right then, this will affect a lot of other areas in your life. Our nutritionist will create a weekly food plan for you.
Chi Nei Tsang
A traditional form of healing touch (massage) therapy, which is applied to the abdomen; Chi Nei Tsang is used to stimulate and manipulate muscles and connective tissue, organs and systems located in the stomach. Improves the flow of energy into the abdominal region
